Meet Our Team

Bonnie Baker CPM DEM
Bonnie is the founder of Davis County Doulas, co-owner of Davis County Midwives, and has been immersed in birth work since 2014. Within a year of starting in the birth community, she expanded her offerings to include Hypnobabies® Childbirth Education, placenta encapsulation, and Bengkung belly binding. She also co-hosted the Positive Birth Group, a free community resource for expecting families. In 2017, she became a certified Happiest Baby on the Block instructor, further enriching her teaching portfolio.
In 2021, Bonnie launched The Prison Project in partnership with the Utah Department of Corrections to provide childbirth education to incarcerated women. She has served on numerous nonprofit boards and committees, including the Utah Doula Association and the Utah Midwives Organization, and continues to collaborate with the Utah Department of Health and Human Services on statewide birth initiatives. Her work was recognized in 2023 when she received the Provider of the Year Award from the Utah Doula Association for her contributions to midwifery.
Bonnie has supported hundreds of families through a wide range of birth experiences, including home births, cesareans, special needs births, and medically indicated inductions. She is especially passionate about supporting vaginal breech births. Outside of her professional work, Bonnie enjoys gardening, laughing with people she loves, making recipes from scratch, working out, cake club, book club, family reunions, and traveling with her three red headed boys and red bearded husband.

Karina Robinson CPM LDEM
Karina is a mother of three, home DIYer, and computer nerd.
Karina became passionate about improving birth experiences when doing her own research for her first baby and having a wonderful unmedicated birth, despite being high-risk due to having Type 1 Diabetes.
Karina has been supporting birthing families since 2014 as a doula and won the Doula of Distinction award in 2018. She currently serves on the board of the Utah Midwives Organization as Director of Public Relations.
Karina’s goal as a midwife is simply to improve birth experiences – by helping to reduce physical and emotional trauma, empowering through knowledge, and providing a safer birth experience led by one’s own body.
Karina also has personal and professional experience with VBACs and diabetes during pregnancy and can skillfully educate on things that others may not have reasons to know.
In her spare time she enjoys learning, camping, and traveling with her three children and husband.

Kandice Baird CPM LDEM
Kandice joined the world of birth work in 2016. She began by studying the Curtis Method of HypnoBirthing. She then certified as a HypnoDoula, and has since supported many growing families.
Kandice began her midwifery apprenticeship in 2017 through the North American Registry of Midwives. She was able to study under many experienced midwives. Their influence helped her to fine tune her skills and learn a variety of necessary skills to practice safely and efficiently. Kandice has a healthy respect for the sacred nature of the perinatal period.
Kandice is married to Josh Baird and together they have 6 children, all born unmedicated, and 4 born at home. They are a competitive and athletic family. In any spare time, they enjoy getting out in nature for hiking, camping, fishing, and four wheeling.
